A brief overview of my background, current focus and what I am looking for.
I am an infrastructure focused IT professional who is genuinely enthusiastic about computers, networking and the platforms that keep organisations running. I started my journey in 2013 as an IT Technician and since then I have worked across MSPs, charities, housing and manufacturing, delivering everything from day to day support to large infrastructure and modern workplace projects.
I am very hands on with core infrastructure such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, storage and networking, while also being comfortable in Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune. I enjoy taking ownership of environments, improving reliability, tightening up documentation and using automation to remove repetitive work for both IT teams and end users.
Outside of work I run my own 5 node VMware ESXi cluster at home (with a 28U rack) for lab, testing and learning, and I produce electronic music and DJ under the tech themed alias "PETABYTE". I am UK based and open to roles where I can combine hands on engineering with continuous improvement and collaboration.

- Deliver level 3 support and end to end operations for a multi site hybrid estate, owning on-premises AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS and key cloud services.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune and associated security and identity workloads.
- Administer VMware vSphere and vCenter and SAN storage, ensuring performance, capacity and resilience.
- Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPNs and firewalls, plus Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and 3CX telephony.
- Drive robust backup, monitoring and documentation processes to achieve low recovery times and consistent operations.
- Supported IT services for more than 1,500 users across multiple domains and sites, acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Delivered Citrix Cloud VDI (DaaS, ADM, WEM) projects and supported VMware Horizon VDI platforms.
- Implemented and maintained Veeam Backup and Replication, regularly testing recoveries to meet disaster recovery targets.
- Rolled out Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) including Autopilot, Win32 app packaging and compliance policies.
- Worked with Datto RMM, Azure Arc, DUO MFA and Cisco Umbrella to secure and manage the estate.
- Created server lists, knowledge base articles and deployment guides to support operational teams and future projects.
- Supported more than 2,000 users across over 80 sites in a small team, covering 1st, 2nd and 3rd line tasks.
- Handled password resets, hardware installs, mobile setups and general site support tasks.
- Worked extensively with UniFi and EdgeMAX networking, 3CX telephony and Samsung Knox for mobile management.
- Led two major projects: a phone system upgrade and a full network refresh across multiple locations.
- Acted as primary technical contact for multiple clients, delivering award winning IT support and consultancy.
- Handled Microsoft Azure and Office 365 administration, Windows Server Essentials and ESET anti virus.
- Configured and supported SonicWall routers, firewalls and associated network services.

- Worked on design and rollout of Citrix DaaS, ADM and WEM in a multi site environment.
- Improved user experience and logon times by tuning profiles, policies and resource assignments.
- Documented configurations and created knowledge base articles for support teams handling day to day VDI incidents.

Built a dedicated home lab and script library to test ideas safely and build repeatable processes.
